Dr. Dubin’s background is in E.R. medicine for the past 10 years. LENS/ Neurofeedback (Low-Energy Neurofeedback System). There are 100 billion neurons with 10,000 branches in the brain.
Dr. Dubin works out of offices in both Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. He does NOT do bio-feedback, which is the voluntary control of internal states. Brainwaves are the electrical activity in the brain (as EKG is the electrical activity in the heart). LENS can show evidence of various issues, such as ADD. Dr. Dubin can raise the frequency of the brain waves which works well with ADD. With LENS, Dr. Dubin puts sensors on the scalp, hooked up to a computer and slightly changes the brain waves, curing ADD. The strength of the signal is 1/1000 of the electrical energy produced by a cell phone.
